In 2024, Guararapes celebrated 40 years of history. More than just a milestone, this celebration symbolizes our journey of sustainable growth and responsibility for the future. In the same year, we are proud to announce that we achieved 87% of our planned ESG goals, surpassing the 80% minimum target. This reinforces our commitment to governance, the environment, and society.

On the Social area, we conducted the company’s first Diversity Census, which will enable us to develop inclusion initiatives in a more structured and effective way. We increased female representation in leadership positions and invested over R$ 500,000 in health, education, and sports initiatives in the communities where we operate. We also earned the ISO 45001 certification, which attests to our workplace being safe and healthy for our more than two thousand employees.

In the Environmental and Forestry area, we expanded our forest base by 3,500 hectares and obtained validation of the EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) for the life cycle of our MDF and plywood products. These actions strengthen the sustainability of our production chain and ensure the continuity of our business with responsibility.

Innovation remained a priority: we consolidated the MDF Line 3 with a modern evaporation system, which contributed to a 42% reduction in industrial effluent generation. We also implemented Industry 4.0 solutions to enable faster and safer decision-making in the production process.

We also celebrated recognition through major industry awards, such as the 2024 Retail Design Award from the Retail Design Institute and the 2024 Popai Brazil Award in the category “Store Design and Architecture Projects,” with the Casa Guararapes Caçador.
