When we are in the process of creating one of our production units, our strategic planning always considers a concept which directly results in operational advantage: synergy.

The concept of synergy is transformed into practice when the MDF unit is built geographically between two other plywood units (Palmas and Santa Cecília). During their respective manufacturing processes, these two units generate "waste" called clean chips. Since this is the main raw material for the MDF manufacturing process - with zero waste – logistics is able to achieve synergy by placing within its reach all the necessary feedstock for perfect production.

Adding to this process, Guararapes also makes use of thin timbers which are not able to be used on the plywood production line. These are stripped, becoming clean chips to add to the MDF manufacturing process.
This business synergy is not only in line with our goal to optimize results and generate greater profitability, but also in the search for greater environmental responsibility by increasing the use of industrial waste as part of a sustainable development policy. The results of this can be seen in the growth of our entrepreneurial activities, perpetuating and also increasing the creation of direct and indirect jobs.
